CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE POLICY
Due to the nature of our appointments, we understand no decision is made lightheartedly. In order to best serve other families, we request a 24-hour notice of cancellation. A cancellation fee of $100 will be charged for appointments cancelled the day of, unless due to the pet’s passing. Our veterinarian will wait no longer than 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment window if there is no answer at the listed address for the appointment. After 15 minutes the appointment will be considered a late cancellation and subject to the cancellation fee.
Should you need to reschedule an appointment, we will allow one rescheduled appointment. After one reschedule, the appointment will be cancelled, and future appointments will require a $100 non-refundable deposit.
LARGE DOGS/ASSISTANCE TO VEHICLE
Dogs over 41kg (90lb) are subject to an additional fee of $50.
Our veterinarian will typically attend your home alone. To transport your pet safely to the crematorium, if you elect cremation, assistance will be required to place your pet into the veterinarian’s vehicle. If someone in your home is not physically capable, please notify ahead of the appointment time so proper assistance can be arranged ($75).
Dogs over 15kg (32lb) will require assistance. Dogs over 41kg (90lb) will require direct home pickup by the crematorium for a fee of $110.
PRIVATE CREMATION
If you choose to have your pet’s cremains (ashes) returned to you post cremation, you may pick up from your family veterinarian or directly from the crematorium. Precious Pet Cremation is located at the intersection of the Perimeter Hwy and Selkirk Ave. and Peaceful Pasture Pet Cremation is in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Delivery of cremains to your home (within the perimeter) can be arranged with Sunset Veterinary Care for $60. For urn selection, please visit our website.
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
We retain the right to decline services to any person who appears to be below the age of 18 without identification, is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol or is verbally and/or physically threatening or abusive.
