River

She came up from the riverbank one evening. She heard the laughter of humans and smelled the aroma of food. Freedom gave her power to choose. And on that cold and rainy night - She chose us. We named her River and she was a loyal and loving member of our family for 13 years.

She loved children, cats and especially her family. Making the decision to say goodbye to this beloved pet was beyond heartbreaking. We are thankful for Dr. Liz Andree’s compassion and kindness in making this end journey of hers peaceful and humane. But more than anything, we are so grateful to have had River in our lives and in our hearts.
