Kygo
2017-2025
Thank you for choosing us Kygo, we just wish you could have stayed longer.
Kygo came to us as a small pup that my husband picked up during one of his work trips up north. He popped up from underneath a snow covered bench in -30, gave the sweetest smile and that was it, my husband brought Kygo on the next plane home. A sweet little guy that came to join our little family just in time for Christmas.
Everyday Kygo showed us how much he loved us, and never wanted more than to be together with us and his fur siblings Bailey and Nami. No matter how big he got, he always gave us gentle headbutts for more pets and would slide under the coffee table for an afternoon nap.
Kygo, we love you very much our little bubbles for brains. We’ll miss his high pitched howls, the way he used his dog bed as a napkin after drinking water instead of sleeping on it, and finding his fur on absolutely everything we owned. 8 years was too short, but I don’t think any amount of time with you would have been enough.
Dogs should never get cancer, they love us more than we could ever love ourselves. No matter what we have to give them, they make you feel like you’re their whole world.
Kygo boy, Mom and Dad know that you tried your best to the very end to try to hide that you weren’t feeling well. And if we let you, you might have tried to stick through for us for the birth of your first human sibling despite how tired you were. You’ve always been the best little nurse, checking up on anyone that wasn’t feeling well or was crying. Just know that we’re crying so much because we love you and will always love you, so don’t worry too much about us. We are so so thankful that we had enough time to properly send you off with as many cuddles and kisses as we could, a few more good walks, and feed you rotisserie chickens, ribeye steaks and ice cream as your meals for the last few days.
Wherever you go, roll around in the snow, soak up the sun and eat whatever you want, you don’t need our permission. When we see you again we’ll go for some nice long walks our sunshine boy, for now take a nice long nap, you more than deserve it. We love you so much.
A big thank you to Dr. Rita for the compassion and how gently you took care of our boy. Having the reassurance from you. that we made the right choice at the right time for Kygo has helped us let him go. We’re so grateful that he was able to sleep in my husband’s arms, eating one last ice cream before he started snoring and drifted away. Making sure Kygo was surrounded by his family knowing he was loved means the absolute world to us. Thank you so so much.
