From the moment you fetched that stick, we knew you were meant to be ours.

So many happy memories were made throwing the ball for you at the dog park. We could never go without a ball and you made sure of that!

Our pool was your favourite place of all. We spent countless hours tossing the ball into the water for you, watching you happily chase after it again and again.

You were also our very own built-in alarm system. From your other favourite spot at the bay window, you kept an eye on the street, making sure we knew whenever someone or something was passing by. You took your job very seriously, and the house will never feel quite the same without you keeping watch.

Chevy, you were so very loved, and you will be missed more than words can say. The house is so very quiet without you. Coming home and not hearing your bark or seeing that happy, wagging tail is heartbreaking. There is an emptiness here that only comes from losing someone who was such a big part of our family.

Dr. Liz, words cannot express how much we appreciated your compassion that day. When we couldn’t find the words to speak to Chevy, you spoke for us. Thank you for the love, kindness, and care you gave him. In our hearts, we know Chevy would thank you too.

Thank you, Chevy, for all the love, laughter, memories, and happiness you brought into our lives. You were a very special boy, and you will forever be a part of our family.
