You soaked up all my tears

You shared all my smiles 

You were the silent backseat observer for so many highway miles 

You lit up the faces everywhere you went

You kept the puppies safe and taught them your rules 

You were stoic and always exactly where I needed you to be

You were my safe space

You taught me about the power of the universe and have left me with your quiet confidence knowing that you will be near and things will be just as they are meant to be.

Your immeasurable love for me is forever known but my hands will always reach for you and I will miss looking into that sparkle in your eye.
