Five Years of Sunset Veterinary Care

October 5th marks another year of Sunset Veterinary Care and it feels like a milestone. Five full years! We’ve been so honoured to have helped thousands of families. 

This past year has been our busiest yet. Dr. Rita and I have been attending as many house calls as we can, but we are hopeful to find another veterinarian or two to join our team. 

In January I had the huge honour of receiving a Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Women Business Owners of Manitoba. It was incredible to be surrounded by so many inspiring women. It is empowering knowing that many other women have been able to live out their dreams. 

In September we were able to take part in the inaugural BarkFest event. It was well attended and we met so many amazing people and lots of cute pups! 

Today we attempted to have a small celebration, but those plans were foiled by the rain and wind. We moved inside for a smaller event with family. Thank you to all who were able to attend and brought their well wishes, cards and gifts. A special thanks to my family for commissioning a beautiful wooden sign of our logo. Can’t wait to hang it up! 

As always I want to thank our wonderful clients for trusting us with their beloved family members. A thank you to my fabulous team of Nicole & Dr. Rita for continuing to hold up the vision of Sunset Veterinary Care. Many thanks to my extended family and friends for always providing support and love when I need it most. And my biggest thank you will forever go to my husband and our two little boys for being my rocks and my reason for constantly pushing forward. 

Hoping for some very big things in our 6th year and can’t wait to share the journey!
